Description
Obesity is the most common disease worldwide in the last 10 years, leading to many other physical and psychological problems. After diet programs, areas of stubborn fat may appear and resist being burned, such as in the chin, arms, internal thighs, abdomen, and love handles area.
Protocol
- Record the pinch test or size of the injected area.
- Revita Milano LIPOFIRM is injected into the subcutaneous fat (deep) in a perpendicular procedure.
- Apply a gentle massage on the injected area to ensure distribution of the injected material through the fat cells.
- The session is repeated every 10 days.
Composition and Operation
1. Phosphatidylcholine
- Adipocyte Apoptosis: Phosphatidylcholine (PC) injection may promote adipose tissue reduction through inducing apoptosis of adipocytes.
- Increased Lipolysis: PC injection has also been proposed to increase lipolysis, leading to fat reduction.
- Cell Type-Dependent Effects: The mode of action of PC on fat tissue may be cell type-dependent, with different effects on adipocytes, macrophages, and other cell types. Obesity has been shown to impact PC turnover in adipose tissue macrophages, making them more susceptible to saturated fatty acids.
- Potential Benefits of Phosphatidylcholine Injections:
- Nonsurgical Procedure
- Preferential Reduction of Mature Adipocytes
- Contouring and Skin Tightening
- Potential Mechanism of Action
2. Sodium Deoxycholate 2.5%
- Deoxycholate sodium has been studied and used as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction for fat reduction.
- Sodium deoxycholate is an FDA-approved compound that can be used to reduce localized fat deposits through a process called lipolysis.
- Sodium deoxycholate has been shown to be an effective and safe compound for non-surgical fat reduction through lipolysis. It can be used in injection lipolysis procedures to target specific areas of unwanted fat.
3. Caffeine
- Increased Fat Oxidation
- Mobilization of Stored Triglycerides
- Drainage of Accumulated Substances
4. L-Carnitine 3%
- Modulation of Lipid Metabolism: L-carnitine may modulate lipid metabolism by stimulating lipolysis and beta-oxidation, accompanied by changes in gene expression and suppression of lipogenesis.
- Promotion of Lipolysis: L-carnitine can enhance glycerol release from newborn subcutaneous adipose tissue fragments, with or without simultaneous stimulation.
- Reduction of Lipid Accumulation: L-Carnitine supplementation has been reported to improve growth performance and reduce body lipid content in fish.
5. Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE)
- Mechanism of Action:
- Downregulation of Lipolysis Genes
- Free Radical Scavenging: DMAE has the ability to scavenge specific free radicals, which may contribute to its anti-lipolytic effects.
- Skin Rejuvenation: DMAE-containing formulations have been shown to increase dermal thickness and improve skin appearance, suggesting potential benefits for skin rejuvenation.
- Potential for Fat Reduction: While the exact mechanism of how mesotherapy reduces fat remains unclear, DMAE has been identified as one of the effective compounds for eliminating unwanted fat deposits.
- Potential Synergistic Effects: The combination of DMAE with other active ingredients, such as phosphatidylcholine, L-carnitine, and caffeine, may provide synergistic benefits for fat reduction and skin rejuvenation.
